“We all have bad habits. If you have ever tried to break a bad habit you know they are difficult to break. The habits are formed over many years and we automatically slip into these patterns of behaviour when we wake up. As individuals we attribute these habits to ourselves; ‘I play games too much’; ‘I smoke too much’; ‘I am lazy’; ‘I procrastinate’; I don’t drink enough water. Whilst these behaviours feel personal, most bad behaviours are common, they affect not only you but other people as well. In this project you are required to develop an app for behaviour change. Behaviour change is a process, a framework through which to create new habits or to break old ones. In this framework there are four sequential stages that are required to create a new habit: cue; craving; response and; reward (James Clears’ model for behaviour change). Together these stages form a feedback loop, an endless cycle that motivates us to maintain the new habit”
